Arson Fire

     

Sunday, May 27, 2012 Singerly, Chesapeake City and Newark were alerted for the reported working house fire; Chief 3 arrived to find a 1 story duplex with heavy fire through the roof and a partial structural failure. Command was established and the defensive strategy was deployed. Crews deployed ground based and aerial master streams to extinguish the fire. The incident went 2 alarms due to the high heat and humidity. This area has been the target of numerous arson fires in the past several months, anyone with information is urged to contact the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office.
