Singerly, Newark, Chesapeake City and North East were alerted for the reported working building fire. Tower 3 and Squirt 13 arrived to find a 2 story, middle of the row townhouse with heavy smoke showing, Assistant Cheif 13 estalbished command and crews went to work with an aggresive interior attack. Crews encountered heavy fire conditions on the 1st floor and were able to knock the fire before heading to the 2nd floor to complete the search and knock a small amount of fire that had extended upstairs. Engine 9-3 from Newark stood by as the RIT before assisting Engine 13 Checking the adjacent exposures for any extension. Ladder 4 from North East vented the roof and additional units provided manpower for salvage and overhaul. The fire was determined to have started in the kitchen and was investigated by the MSFM.
