Singerly, Chesapeake City and Newark were alerted for the reported building collapse. Assistant Chief 13 arrived to find a middle of the row town house, established command and began investigating the report. A collapse of the basement stairs was found with one patient in the basement complaining of minor injuries. The assignment was reduced to Rescue 13 and Engine 13, those crews placed a ladder into the basement and secured the patient on a stokes basket to remove him from the basement. EMS evaluated the patient and transported to a local hospital.
