Singerly, North East and Chesapeake City were alerted for the reported working house fire; Assistant Chief 13 arrived to find a 2 story single family dwelling with an exterior fire and smoke showing from the attic above the garage. Engine 13 would lay a supply line from a nearby hydrant and deploy an attack line into the garage. The exterior fire was knocked and crews found and extinguished the extension into the attic space. Engine 2 would verify that there was no extension into the residence and Ladder 4 would assist in opening up the soffit and siding around the garage. The Maryland State Fire Marshal is investigating the incident.
