While wrapping up the assignment on Constitution Terrace, Singerly, North East and Chesapeake City were alerted for the house fire on Liberty Ln with smoke reported in the residence. Squirt 13 was 1st on scene with Rescue Captain 13 establishing the Liberty Ln Command. Crews encountered smoke conditions through out the residence and began investigating with the Thermal Imaging Camera. Command was transferred to Assistant Chief 13 upon his arrival, shortly after crews advised that they had located a fan motor burnt up on the furnace which had charged the house with smoke through the duct work. Power was isolated from the furnace and the house was ventilated to remove the smoke. The homeowner was provided with new working smoke detectors, due to the detectors in the residence failing to activate.
