Smoke Odor Investigation

     

Tuesday, January 10, 2012 Singerly, North East and Chesapeake City were alerted for the Odor of Smoke in the residence with a report of 1 subject injured on Constitution Terrace, Assistant Chief 13 was 1st on scene and advised that he had a 2 story Single Family Dwelling with nothing evident, and established command. With the homeowner complaining of light respiratory distress, a headache and dizziness. Based on this report the crews from Squirt 13 and Rescue 13 checked the residence with a Thermal Imaging Camera and Gas Meter for a possible gas or CO emergency. The homeowner refused transport by EMS and interior crews found 0 CO readings and a light dissipating odor in the residence.
